Pamela J. McGuire - Will County Circuit
Clerk
Pamela McGuire is currently serving her fourth four-year term as the Will
County Circuit Clerk of Court. Since being elected, in 1996, she has fully
integrated five separate systems, (two of which were manual) into one integrated
court computer system. Ms. McGuire has been instrumental in forming a
partnership with the Will County Justice Agencies to better collaborate the
interagency sharing of data as each agency looks to replace their existing
technology. The Circuit Clerk’s Office will continue to pursue this philosophy,
as they look to upgrade their current case management system with a new system
to meet the growing needs of Will County.
Unpaid Appointments: In 2003, Pam was appointed by the Governor and
presently serves on the Illinois Integrated Justice System Implementation Board,
the Outreach Committee of IIJIS and is the Treasurer for the Tri-River Police
Training Region. Pam previously served on the Supreme Court Technology
Committee for E-Filing and the Secretary of State’s Highway Safety 2000 Advisory
Panel. Ms. McGuire previously served as President of the Illinois Association
of Court Clerks.
Fiscal Accountability: Since May 2007 over $11,000,000 in past due court
related costs have been collected and $2,211,930 in interest that has been
distributed to local, county and state agencies.
After being a widow, Ms. McGuire remarried. Pat and Pam have five
children and two grandchildren. Ms. McGuire also survived a years struggle with
malignant melanoma cancer in 2000-2001.
